RDRFR puts the power of the law into your hands for the first time since Rockstar’s flagship Red Dead Redemption II title arrived on PC.

Red Dead Redemption First Response (RDRFR) introduces some unique features tailored specifically for the RDR universe, diverging from typical first-response mods in a few key ways. One standout addition is the introduction of “missions” or “investigations” that allow players to step into the role of a 20th-century law enforcer. Given the historical setting, RDRFR swaps out modern police radios for a more immersive approach—civilians call out for help directly, either in person or by shouting to catch the attention of passing lawmen.

Other changes enhance the authenticity of in-game law enforcement. For instance, arresting suspects and other interaction options feel streamlined and in harmony with RDR’s gameplay style. Rather than assigning specific keys or buttons, RDRFR integrates these actions within the game’s existing contextual prompts, creating a seamless experience for players stepping into the shoes of an Old West lawman. This approach aims to keep the experience fluid, immersive, and true to the world of Red Dead Redemption.
